Description

The GANYMED ergonomic crutch transforms everyday mobility with a revolutionary design focused on comfort, posture, and user confidence. Created as a modern alternative to traditional crutches, it promotes a natural, upright gait that reduces strain on the wrists, shoulders, and back – allowing you to move freely and comfortably, wherever life takes you.

Unlike standard walking aids, the GANYMED shifts the touchdown point forward, encouraging a balanced, ergonomic stride. This thoughtful design helps maintain a healthier walking posture and minimizes stress on joints, making it ideal for long-term use. The result is a walking aid that supports movement in a way that feels natural, stable, and effortless.

One of the GANYMED’s standout innovations is its specially engineered rubber capsule at the base, designed not only for exceptional grip and stability but also for adaptability. The capsule features a unique grid structure that allows users to customize the hardness, tailoring the level of cushioning and feedback to personal comfort preferences. With a simple 180° rotation, the capsule changes its deformation pattern, providing two different settings for surface response and impact absorption.

This advanced system ensures every step feels secure, smooth, and steady, even on varying terrain. The slightly asymmetrical rubber tip supports fluid step transitions, reducing impact on joints and contributing to a more natural walking rhythm. Additionally, the capsule’s design allows the crutch to be hung up easily when not in use, eliminating the common problem of walking aids tipping over.

The GANYMED ergonomic crutch is equally impressive in its upper design. Its anatomically shaped upper sectionevenly distributes weight for joint-friendly comfort and stability. The construction uses oval tubing, offering the perfect balance between lightweight handling and structural strength. Weighing approximately 1200 g per pair, these crutches provide secure support without feeling bulky.

Built to accommodate up to 120 kg of body weight, the GANYMED is engineered for durability while maintaining a sleek, minimalist aesthetic. Its forward-facing design enhances control and comfort, while optional soft grip variationsensure a pleasant, ergonomic feel during extended use.

With the GANYMED ergonomic crutch, mobility becomes more than just getting from one place to another, it becomes an experience of comfort, stability, and confidence. Every element of this walking aid reflects precision German engineering and an understanding of human movement, making it an outstanding choice for users who value design as much as function.

Height: 10-fold height-adjustable, from 30.3″ – 39″ / 77 – 99 cm

Weight: 2.65 lb / 1200 g per pair

MAX. load capacity: up to 264.5 lb / 120 kg body weight

Rollator sizing

Note: Max weight is 130 kg (285 lbs). The handle height on the Compact Track is 79 – 91 cm (31,1“- 35,8“) and the Regular- and Wide Track is 80 – 95 cm (31,5” – 37,4”).

If your measurement from floor to wrist is not within this range, this rollator is not likely to be a good fit.

Other things to consider:
Seat height
The main difference between the Compact- and the Regular and Wide Track is the seat height. The higher the seat, the easier it is to get in and out of the seat.

Body shape and flexibility
The ergonomic design of the handles means that they are narrower at the top,
This further means that even though the seat width shows a fit, you might need to do a bit of “salsa” around the handles to get into the seat. If you do not feel comfortable or flexible
enough to do so, we recommend to choose a wider model.

Use of seat
How much you tend to use the seat matters for your choice of model. If you rely on the
seat for frequent rests, a wider seat will be a more comfortable option.
If you won’t be sitting a lot and you are fine with doing a bit of “salsa” when getting in and
out of the seat, then a slimmer model would be a good match.

Indoor vs outdoor use
If you plan on using your rollator mostly inside, with chair nearby and narrow walk-ways,
a slimmer model is advisable, since it takes up less space and have a bigger marginal to
fit through doors etc.
